The theme of this year’s roundtable was the worrying trend of digital disinformation, which is increasingly being used as a tool to sow doubt and discord within liberal societies. Against this backdrop, our panel will address the various threats posed by digital disinformation to states, businesses, and societies, by drawing upon global examples. We will evaluate NATO’s efforts in combating disinformation campaigns and enhancing its resilience to hybrid cyber threats. We also seek to address ways in which stronger partnerships between the government and private organizations can be fostered in order to identify the threats posed by false narratives.
